Women's Bible Study
Thursdays, January 19 - March 23, 2023
Join us for this ten-week Zoom class on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM, as Pam Roberts and Rosalie Castleberry lead us in viewing the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.
Aren’t you glad God gives second chances? In the last half of the
book of Genesis, we will explore the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph
and see how God turned events that could have been tragic into good
– especially for the survival of His People.
JoAnna Lane will teach this class on Thursdays 9:15-11:00 AM at Kenwood Baptist Church.
As Christians we are called to have a proactive faith which leads us to serve those around us. The Gospel of Mark shares the life, love, and ministry of Jesus, who provides the ultimate example of actively loving and serving God and others.
Lois Bascom will teach at Kenwood Baptist Church on Thursdays from 9:15-11:00 AM.
We don’t usually read other people’s mail, but reading Paul’s letter in response to a letter from the church in Corinth addresses many issues we face today. Paul covers a wide range of problems with the goal of showing us how to live victoriously in a sinful world.
Susan Rice will teach on Zoom on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM.
In starting a church in Philippi, Paul entered a whole new part of the Roman world, but not without receiving a violent reaction. Later, he wrote to the church to help them endure ongoing opposition and hardship with joy and confidence in the gospel.
Ruth Metzger will teach on ZOOM Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM.
Have you ever tried to pray but didn’t have the words to adequately express your heart? The Book of Psalms consists of divinely inspired poetry which reflects the heart and mind of God. Studying these marvelous words of Scripture will help us acquire a deeper understanding and ability to pray using God’s own words.
R.I.S.E. For Moms
R-Relational I-Intentional S-Spiritual E-Encouragement
R.I.S.E. for moms at Kenwood is kicking off our second year of ministry this month! We are so grateful for the chance to meet and be in community together. Just as a reminder-R.I.S.E. is open to moms of ALL AGES!
R.I.S.E. for moms is a sisterhood at Kenwood Baptist Church that welcomes all moms to experience a deeper relationship with Christ, building friendships in a multigenerational and multicultural community, and empowering one another in the gospel.
The theme for RISE for Moms this year is Abiding in Christ To Bear His Fruit and the theme verse is John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
We are launching our home meetings of the year in our various groups throughout the city (see registration below for more details). Groups will meet twice a month (every other week on the meeting date for the group location).
When you register through the link below, you will have an opportunity to choose your group based on location or day of the week- it is a first-come, first-serve registration, so those registering earlier will likely have a greater chance to receive their first choice. You will get to meet your group facilitator and host team along with your fellow group members at your first in-home September meeting.
