I have been a member of Kenwood for 30 years.  I began attending with my family as a freshman in high school and haven’t ever left!  I have always been actively involved in this congregation because Kenwood is my family and an extension of my earthly home.  I have been given the chance to be discipled and instructed, guided, and nurtured in my 30 years here. Through these years of growing up, I have been allowed to serve in a variety of ways.  Most of my years have been in children’s ministry.  I began helping with VBS and serving in the nursery as a teenager.  I have served as a youth leader, middle school Sunday school teacher, and almost 20 years with the preschoolers.  I had the privilege of being the assistant to the Children’s Pastor as well.  I loved my time working as the Wedding Coordinator and getting to be part of such a special event in a couple’s life.  However, the areas where I was challenged and grew the most were probably as a member of the Trustees and serving on the Nominating Committee and two Pastoral Search Committees.
