I grew up in Japan without any knowledge about the God of the Bible. I had never been to church until John and Lois Bascom invited us to Kenwood in 1996 when Chisato and I stayed in Cincinnati for 6 months for job training for P&G. We started going to a small church in Japan and we came back to Cincinnati in 1999. We have been with Kenwood since then and I received Jesus as my Savior and Lord at the Christmas Eve service in 2000. I was a part of the starting members of Greater Cincinnati Japanese worship, which was started in 2001 and we have been having worship service once a month in the chapel of Kenwood for the last 18 years. It was a privilege to serve as a Deacon, member of the search committee for the Pastor of Children and Family ministry in 2011 and 2016. Kenwood has been the home church for me and my family. We enjoy the multi-generation, multi-cultural community at Kenwood.
God has blessed me with my wife, Chisato, and 3 children, Megumi, Manami and Ken.
