A Mask for Everyone

If you have sewing ability but not a sewing machine and would like to help with making children and adult fabric masks for Kenwood’s, consider joining our sewing team. Please take one prep kit for fabric masks and cut fabric, inner facing, elastic, and ribbon according to the instructions provided. Please return in the basket, located inside between the foyer doors at the lower level by the Church office. Our sewing ladies will then finish the masks for distribution.

Our goal is to make over 250 masks 80% of which will be children’s masks. We will gift the first batch to Deer Park Schools.

Kenwood has already provided over 500 masks since March to Jewish Hospital, Christ Hospital, volunteers at Kenwood, and to NEEDS clients. Thank You! It has been a joint effort with a small group of dedicated sewing craft experts. By joining us in this effort, we can make this a church-wide team project and it gives us all an extra opportunity to “Love Our Neighbor.”

If you have any questions or would like to donate fabric, or pre-made masks, loan a sewing machine - please email Melody Hamilton, Outreach Coordinator at melodyhamilton@kenwoodbaptist.org
