Dear Kenwood Family,
We have spent the last month in an online format, in recognition of the COVID dynamics in our city. We are grateful for online ministry capabilities and have been encouraged by your engagement online.
Due to extremely cold temperatures, we are canceling our outdoor Christmas Eve gathering option in the Pavilion. However, we are going to open the building and allow people to gather for our 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service. This service will last for just under 1 hour. Masks are required indoors at all times, and seating will be socially distanced. Please sit in family groupings only. Multiple overflow rooms will be used as needed, in order to maximize our social distancing.
Our service will be livestreamed as well. Communion and candlelight supplies are still available in the lower entryway (office doors) – and will remain available while supplies last. Feel free to drive by and collect the supplies you need to fully participate online. If you collected supplies in our drive-thru event last week but will gather onsite now, we ask you to bring those supplies with you to the Christmas Eve service.
Our Christmas Eve service is truly unique, as we celebrate God’s saving plan for all people. We incorporate multiple languages as we tell the story of Christ’s birth. It’s a service that not only tells the gospel, it displays it! Consider sharing the online option with neighbors, friends, and family. Point them to our website or YouTube page.
If you do plan to join us onsite at 4 p.m. for Christmas Eve:
May the Christmas Eve service minister to all of us in a powerful way, no matter where we gather.
'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!'
